DAY 3, 4 AND 5

Day 3: It was another bright and sunny day and we took a Romance Car (train) at 10am to Hakone. Reached Hakone at 11-25am. After lunch, we took Tozan bus number 3 to Ashinoya, to Ryokan Kinokuniya. We checked in at 2pm.

I LOVED THIS JAPANESE HOTEL because
- it was cosy

- we cannot wear our shoes into this hotel - we must change into the hotel slippers. the uncle kept our shoes for us neatly (see photo).

- the toilet flush is cute because it has a special spray to spray the pigu

-we wore a yukata (Japanese clothes)

- the view from the balcony was very nice- i could hear the birds chirping.

- 4 of us went to the outdoor private onsen. we have to take off all our clothes like your shirt, pants and even your diku. Everyone was naked!! we got in slowly it was very hot. the water smelled like rotten egg yolk(sulphur)

-we stayed in the private onsen from 4-40 to 5-15 pm. It was very fun it was my first experience

We had dinner at 6-30pm. There were lots of people. The food were already prepared. It smelled yummy and delicious. There were different kinds of food like steamboat (mushroom, different kinds of vegetables, pork, udon), soup, miso soup, potato, bacon, raw fish(i only tried 3 little pieces), pumpkin, radish, squid, rice, orange juice and dessert (mint leaf, cream, strawberry jam and strawberry jelly). i was very full.

When we went back to our room, our beds were already prepared for us. It was very comfortable

Before sleep, I went to the public onsen with papa. Only 2 of us and the air was cold. We went to both indoor and outdoor. It was time to leave, i was sad because i will miss this place. We were checking out tommorow.

Day 4: We checked out of Ryokan Kinokuniya and went to our next hotel, Hotel Fujiya. Before that, we brought Tricia to see a doctor (Tricia did not da bian for 5 days. She kept saying dont have, dont have). The doctor was very old and papa and mama tried very hard to tell him what was wrong with Tricia. He finally understood and pumped some liquid into Tricia's pigu. After 5 minutes, Tricia say stomach ache and mama brought her into the toilet. Papa said that it cost about ¥7,370 (about S$100).

We then walked to Hotel Fujiya. This hotel is 130 years old. Then we checked into the hotel. We let the check in staff put our bags in a room and we went to take a tramcar to go to the open air museum.

After lunch, we went to the mountain to go to boiling valley (Owakudani).

I smelled the smell of the sulphur. I saw the uncle boil the eggs in the HOT spring. The water looked very hot because there was lots of steam. When the eggs were cooked , they turned black!! I touched the egg and it was hot! It tasted very yummy - the egg yolk was nicer then those from Singapore.

We took a tozan train , a tozan cablecar- Hakone ropeway , sightseeing cruise , tozan bus. After that we went back to our hotel. For dinner, we went to eat Italian food. I was very hungry so i ate very fast.

We went to the public onsen in the hotel. Mama and meimei went to the ladies one and me and papa went to the gents one. The onsen that we went was very squeezy. There were two other people there. All of us were naked (Eeeeee!). I don't dare to go into the hot water fully because I had a scar on my back.

We had a good sleep.

Day 5: It was raining and I felt disappointed.
Soaked in the bathtub (like onsen) with meimei. The hot spring water flowed into the hotel bathtub.
We took a Tozan bus to Sengoku, then took a highway bus to Gotemba. We went to shop at Gotemba Premium Outlet (mama bought a Coach bag and 2 wallets). We had lunch at McDonalds - I tried the McPork. It was oiishi!

We then took a highway bus to Fuji Q highlands (1.5 hour journey). It was raining and it was cold. At Fuji Q, it was misty and there were very few people, maybe 20 people.

We went to Thomas Land section and I rode on 6 rides. I enjoyed all of them! Bought a souvenir (a Thomas box).

At 5-20pm, we took a highway bus back to Shinjuku. I slept on the bus! At Shinjuku, we had soba for dinner.
