JAPAN TRIP (DAY 8, 9 AND 10)
Day 8: It was another sunny day as we went to Kyoto by bullet train. It took 3 hours to get there. After a Ramen lunch, we checked into our hotel (Kyoto Dai Ni Tower), next to the Kyoto train station. The room was small and there were 3 beds, There is also a very squeezy toilet, like an aeroplane toilet. It was a small and cosy room.

The first temple we went was the Kinkakuji Temple (the golden coloured temple). It was like a teahouse. It was in the water.
We then took a bus (20 minutes ride) to Kiyomizudera Temple which was high on a
hill. We actually
wanted to take a taxi but it cost ¥2,700 (S$35)!! WHAT A WASTE!
Facts: the temple is red
and very shiny
From the temple, we walked back to our hotel (about 1 hour) and had Italian food for dinner.
Day 9: It was raining. We took a train to the nearby Fushimi Inari Shrine.

Facts:
- very cooling and lots of shade.
- This shrine has lots of orange coloured beams.
- and it is free!

We then took a train to Nara (about 1 hour ride). We had ramen for lunch and then took a bus to Nara Park. There were lots of deer and we had fun feeding biscuits to the deer. The deer kept chasing me for more food. I nearly step on their poo. The deers were so cute that i wanted to keep them as my pet. The deers always kissed meimei.
At 2pm, we took a train back to Kyoto. We then took another train to Arashiyama area (JR Sagano line). It was still raining. We saw the nice bamboo trees. We then went for a foot bath which was nice.
We then went back to the hotel and had pork cutlet for dinner, at Isetan building. I had the kids menu - which included a packet of biscuits, a kids toy and a sweet. The sweet tasted like fish food (eeks!).
Day 10: It was raining again. We took a bullet train back to Tokyo (10-29am to 1-10pm) . In the rain, we visited the Sensoji Temple
in Asakusa area and then the Meiji Shrine i
n the Harajuku area. I MOST DON'T LIKE THE RAIN!!!
After that, we took the subway back to Shinjuku and went to the 42nd floor of the Metropolitan Government Building. We had a nice view and spent a lot of time shopping at the Toy Museum.
I bought a toy sushi set for ¥260.
